The Wandering Eye
A painter, photographer, videographer and travel journal writer based in Tours, France, I have spent several decades pursuing a personal exploration of images and places.
Through my work, my images and my travel journals, I seek above all to preserve the freedom of the gaze: to capture what matters, embrace the unexpected, and reveal an unexpected presence in the simplest of things.

PAINTINGS
Between memory, the grotesque and colour.
Painting extends this exploration through a more instinctive and expressive approach. Gesture, texture, colour and incompleteness play an essential role in my work. Moving between figuration and Expressionism, I seek not so much to faithfully reproduce reality as to convey its tension, emotion and memory.
PHOTOGRAPHS
The world as a field of observation.
For me, photography is an art of seeing and of the moment. Portraits, artist portraits, fashion photography and black and white form a body of work attentive to faces, textures, light and the things that sometimes escape the first glance. I am drawn to images that suggest more than they reveal, images that preserve a sense of mystery.
TRAVEL JOURNALS
Traces of a World Travelled.
Travel journals bring these two approaches together. Sketches, watercolours, photographs and notes captured in the moment reflect a particular attentiveness to landscapes, architecture and scenes of everyday life. From a quick sketch to a photographic image, each fragment becomes a way of telling the story of the world and preserving its imprint.

MY JOURNEY
Born in Leipzig, East Germany, my artistic journey has taken shape through travel, photography and painting. I collect images, faces and fragments of the world, which find a further expression in my paintings and travel journals. Through these different forms of expression, I explore memory, the human condition and the contradictions of our time.
